Alva Cemetery


Alva – Fred W. Hada, 74, who had farmed in the Alva area until retiring nine years ago, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. He was born December 8, 1904, northwest of Alva and had lived in the Greenleaf community most of his life.

How was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Army.

His wife, the former Vera Sznasa, died August 11, 1935. He was also preceded in death by an infant son Fred, two sisters and three brothers.

Hada's survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clara Ranonti, Gainesville, Texas; four brothers, Walter Hada of Dallas, Texas, Gus Hada Jr., Midwest City, Arnold Hada and Kalman Hada, both of Alva.

Funeral services for Hada will be at 2 PM Friday in the Alva Wesleyan church with the Rev. Elvin Hanks and the Rev. Glen McMurphy officiating. He will be buried in the Alva Municipal Cemetery.

The Wharton Funeral Chapel of Alva is in charge of arrangements.
