Funeral services for Robin Ross Fawvor will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Engler and Rev. Rick Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. There will be a visitation with family from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Marshall Funeral Home.
Robin Jolene, daughter of Keith Lowell and Carol Jean (Rhoades) Downer, was born November 15, 1963, at Garden City, Kansas, and passed away April 26, 2023, at Stillwater, at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 11 days.
Robin was raised in Garden City and attended school there. She moved to Alva where she raised her children, Jeremy and Cayenne. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Bierig and later as a secretary for Project Hope at Northwest Technology Center. She met Jim Fawvor in 2006. When Robin moved to Stillwater in 2008, she married Jim at Coyle and they made Stillwater their home. She was a devoted mom and her greatest love was being MiMi to her grandbabies.
Besides her mother, Carol Dechant, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harlan Downer and Justin Downer; and her sister, Rhonda Oliver.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Fawvor of Stillwater; one son, Jeremy Hamill and wife, Julie, of Stillwater; one daughter, Cayenne Nusser and husband, Derek, of Alva; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Cade and husband, Dale, of Chickasha; her father and stepmother, Keith and Candy Downer of Garden City; her brother, Arlan Downer of Garden City, Kansas; her sister, Roxanna Marker and husband, Jeff, of Hutchinson, Kansas; her stepbrother, Shane Lobdell of Smithville, Texas; eight grandchildren, Cadence Hamill and Kenna Hamill, both of Stillwater, Cason Criswell, Ethan Nusser, Logan Nusser, and Bailey Nusser, all of Alva, Lane Cade of Chickasha, and Josey Heutel and husband, Austin, of Norman; one great granddaughter, Avie Heutel; many other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Robin Ross Love Fund at BancCentral.
