The funeral for Loyce Ellen Erikson, 85, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Alva Friends Church. The Revs. Ron Olson and Mark McDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
She was born Feb. 7, 1924, to Clarence Minor and Beulah Ellen Cropp Phillips and died Jan. 1, 2010.
She grew up northwest of Alva and attended Winchester and Faulkner country schools. She graduated from Farry High School in 1942.
She married Irish Erikson March 31, 1942. They made their home in the Alva area.
She was a homemaker and helped with the farm.
Surviving are one son, Leon Erikson of Alva; two daughters, Janet Cunningham of Alva and LeaAnn Halliburton of Slapout; one sister, Hazel Coontz of Enid; 10 grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irish; one son, five brothers, and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to Northwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation.
