Funeral services for Juanita R. Easterly, 76, will be held Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004 at 2 p.m. in the Wharton Funeral Chapel. Reverend J. Weegie Williams, pastor Alva First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment follows in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Wharton Funeral Chapel.

Juanita Ruth, daughter of Nola (Gamble) and Archie Maskrid was born July 14, 1928 in Carmen. She passed away at the Alva Share Medical Center on Dec. 8, 2004.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Thora Lee and a brother Doyle.

She is survived by her husband, Eldon; two daughters and their husbands: Yvette and Chet Goodrich of Alva and Tammy and Monte Wright; a son and his wife Steve and Tammy Easterly of Broken Arrow; seven grandchildren: Kimberly, Dustin, Stephanie, Christina, Lindsey, Brandon and Brittini; eight great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alva School Foundation.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Chapel with Reverend Carol Cook, pastor, Alva First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Eldon, son of Alice (Waters) and Howard Easterly, was born on March 27, 1928, in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away on January 8, 2020, at the St. John Ascension Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years, 9 months and 12 days.

He attended Alva school system and graduated from Alva High School with the class of '46.

Juanita Maskrid married Eldon on December 10, 1949, at the Methodist parsonage in Cherokee.

Eldon resided at 631 Hart St. in Alva, Oklahoma, with his wife, Juanita, where they raised two daughters, Yvette Goodrich and Tammy Wright, and a son, Stephen Easterly.

Eldon worked 25-plus years at the Alva Review Courier newspaper as advertising manager and then worked at Northwestern Oklahoma State University as maintenance supervisor. Eldon retired from NWOSU and then enjoyed his retirement by fishing, shooting and spoiling his grandchildren.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; wife Juanita; brothers Phil, Ben, Vernon and Eugene; sister Winona Easterly; and a grandson, Dustin Goodrich, on October 5, 2017.

He is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Yvette and Chet Goodrich of Alva and Tammy and Monte Wright; a son and his wife, Stephen and Tammy Easterly of Broken Arrow; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Alva Goldbug Education Foundation.
