The funeral for Peggy L. Dunn, 55, of Higley, Ariz., formerly of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Alva Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Ken Durant will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva.
She was born Dec. 5, 1950, in Alva, to Orrid Elmer and Betty Lee Miller Dooley and died Monday, April 3, 2006, at her home.
She attended Alva Public Schools. She married John Dunn Dec. 6, 1971, in Wichita, Kan. They made their home in Alabaster, Ala., moving to Alva in 1973.
She worked at Alva Sales Barn Cafe. In 1978, they moved to Elk City for three years, then to Canton for seven years, returning to Alva in 1978. They moved to Higley in 2004.
She was a member of Assembly of God Church and a past senior regent of Alva Women of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are her husband, John of the home; one daughter, Betty Cheatham of Enid; two sons, Rocky Corr of Enid and Lance Dunn of Queen Creek, Ariz.; one sister, Pat Stewart; four brothers Mike, Dan and Don, all of Wichita, and Rex of Higley; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
Memorials may be made to Moosehart Childrens Home.
