Alva – The funeral for Winnie Lorraine Bartholomew, 94, will be 2 PM Saturday at College Hill Church of Christ. Hartsell Johnson and Hoyt Beasley will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home.
She was born March 14, 1906, at Waldron, Kansas, to Otis and Flora Bell Potter Parker and died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Alva Share Medical Center.
She attended Victory rural grade school and Driftwood High School. On July 21, 1940, she married Lester Darling at Fairview. He died December 8, 1975. She worked as a secretary at Munson's Hatchery from 1946 to 1965, then worked for Bert Reed as a receptionist for Dr. Heffner, Dr. Stoops and at Alva General Hospital before retirement.
On September 12, 1981, she married Ray Bartholomew. He died January 3, 1982. She was a member of College Hill Church of Christ.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church.
