Mrs. Sarah Beegle dies in Alva home

Alva – Funeral services are pending at Stiles funeral home for Mrs. Sarah L. Beegle, 88, who died in a rest home where she had been confined for four months.

She was born April 5, 1871, and came to Alva with her late husband when the Cherokee Strip was opened to settlement. She was a charter member of the First Methodist church in the Cherokee Outlet chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Survivors include two sons, Horace A. of Alva and Ralph A. of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
