Private family graveside services for Lyle Arndt will be Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Pastor Brady Marston officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Lyle Gene Arndt, son of the late Lawrence Perry and Zelma Letha (Arb) Arndt, was born October 22, 1937, at Whitehorse, Woods County, Oklahoma, and passed away November 28, 2020, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Lyle lived in Alva most of his life and attended Alva schools. In November of 1968, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Shouse at the Nazarene Parsonage in Alva. He was a roofer for many years. He was a member of the Alva Nazarene Church and served on the church board for many years. He enjoyed gardening and carpentry.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Darrell Arndt and Neal Arndt; and one sister, Charlene Herren.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Dorothy Shouse Arndt (of Alva); sons, Victor Arndt and wife Gabrielle (of Tacoma, Washington), Timothy Arndt and wife Sherry (of Casper, Wyoming), Alan Arndt and wife Judy (of Colorado Springs, Colorado), and Rudy Briggs and wife Melissa (of Alva); one daughter, Darlene Carver of Alva; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, Lowell Arndt and wife Sharon, Wilford Arndt and wife Mary Alice, Larry Arndt and wife Sandy, Gary Arndt and wife Linda; three sisters, Glenda Yarberry, Juanita Neuenschwander, and Nadine Painton and husband Dennis; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Beadles Nursing Home Activity Fund or the Alva Nazarene Church.
