Eldred Leo Schneberger was born January 19, 1934 in Canute, Oklahoma to Margaret
"Maggie" Barbara and Leo Norbert Schneberger. He passed away April 30, 2016 at
his home west of Burns Flat, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 3 months and 11
days.
Eldred grew up in Canute, Oklahoma and graduated from Holy Family School. After
graduation he was married to Patricia Ann (Spieker) Schneberger at Holy Family
Church in Canute, Oklahoma on November 16, 1954. Eldred and Patricia moved to
the family farm where they made their home and raised their family. Eldred
farmed wheat, cotton and raised cattle his entire life. He enjoy having
conversations and subtly inserting a joke, playing cards, fishing and spending
time with his family and friends. He was a member of the St. Matthew Catholic
Church and was a 3rd degree honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus
serving 46 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Kenneth James Schneberger,
2 brothers, Laverne and Lloyd Schneberger and 1 sister, Vineta Casteel.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; 7 children, Chris Schneberger
and wife, Cindy, Foss, OK, Gwen Fuchs and husband, Jimmy, Elk City, OK, Dennis
Schneberger, Canute, OK, Jeff Schneberger and wife, Julie, Canute, OK, Brian
Schneberger and wife, Lori, Canute, OK, Julie Mills and husband, Duane, Elk
City, OK and Rhonda Stovall and husband, Jeff, Piedmont, OK; 17 grandchildren,
Curtis Schneberger, Keith Schneberger, Karen Roles, Jaime Kos, Jennifer Fuchs,
William Fuchs, Clayton Fuchs, Jillian Jo Schneberger, Jacob Schneberger, Lilly
Schneberger, Grace Schneberger, Luke Schneberger, Faith Schneberger, Amber
Lovelace, Benjamin Mills, Isaac Stovall and Jacqueline Stovall; 9 great
grandchildren, Waverly Schneberger, Whitten Schneberger, Jocelyn Kos, Aiden
Ball, Jaiden Ball, Jacie Lovelace, Taia Lovelace, Sharley Lovelace and Bentlee
Lovelace; 1 sister, Mildred Pospisil, Hennessey, OK and a host of other
relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Knights of Columbus, or
St. Matthew Catholic Church.
