Larry Peffer was born April 1, 1941 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Barbara and Bill Peffer. He passed away April 12, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years and 11 days.

The Peffers purchased a farm north of Elk City and that is where Larry grew up. He attended and graduated from Merritt High School. After graduating, Larry worked at the Shell Oil Plant south of Elk City for many years. He was married to Dianne Schones at Elk City on June 29, 1973. After the Shell plant closed, he worked at various jobs in the oilfield and continued his lifelong passion of raising cattle and horses. Larry also loved watching OU Football, going to the sale barn and, most of all, spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Peffer.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne, of the home; 2 sons, Shane Peffer, Big Spring, TX, Lance Peffer and spouse, Tara, Elk City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Sydney Tew, Keira Peffer, Lauren Peffer, Emma Peffer, a great grandchild on the way, a brother, Glen Peffer, El Reno, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
