Randal Dwight Grossman lost his courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, fighting until his last breath, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the age of 70. 

He was born on January 19, 1947, in Canute, Oklahoma, to George Michael Grossman and Lorene Margaret Kamphaus Grossman.  He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.  After his military career, he spent 35 years with Halliburton.  On August 1, 1992, he married Sherry Lou Sharp in Houston, Texas.  Randal was a life member of the N.R.A., as well as an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and Studebaker collector.  He has resided in Katy since 1990, where he enjoyed gardening and attended Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Sherry Grossman of Katy, Texas; children, Tracy Walters and her husband Don of Houston, Texas, Travis Grossman of Conroe, Texas, Angela Grossman of Katy, Texas, and Lacy Grossman of Katy, Texas; five grandchildren, Benjamin Baker, Brian Baker, Kayla Grossman, Clea Grossman, and Dax Coughlin; mother, Lorene Grossman of Elk City, Oklahoma; and siblings, Jane Crabtree and her husband Jackie of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Kim Grossman and his wife Errol of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Joe Grossman and his wife Sharon of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Lorri Grossman of Elk City, Oklahoma. 

He was preceded in death by his father, George Michael Grossman; and brother, Rick Grossman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Deacon Donald F. Kish officiating.

Visitation will continue on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Whinery-Savage Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00. Prayer Vigil services will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Whinery-Savage Chapel. Mass of Christian

Burial services will be held Monday, May 8, 2017 at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 10:30 officiated by Father Chinnaiah Pudota with the burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
