She passed away September 13, 2018 at Burns Flat, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 25 days.
Elwanda grew up in Cordell, Oklahoma where she attended school. After school she went to work chopping and pulling cotton for area cotton farmers. On August 23, 1966 she was married to Billy Joe Campbell at Cordell, Oklahoma. They remained in the Cordell area for a short time before moving to Enid, Oklahoma where they made their home and raised their children. After Billy's death in 1981 Elwanda moved to Clinton, Oklahoma in 1984 and later to Burns Flat in 1995 where she has spent well over 20 years. Elwanda enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo, working in her yard and flowers and spending time with her family and friends, but for only a day if they were lucky.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 sister, Glendora Walker and 1 brother, Edward Mitchell.
She is survived by her children, David Dixon, Burns Flat, OK, Randy Dixon and wife, Angie, Burns Flat, OK, Clark Dixon, Lexington, OK and Cheretta Anderson and husband, Terry, Jr., Burns Flat, OK; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Delores White and husband, Robert, Foss, OK and Glenda Brewer and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation
