L. D. Breland was born September 27, 1953 in Hattiesburg,
Mississippi to Genevieve and Herschell Leon Breland. He passed away May 4, 2016
at Breaux Bridge, Louisiana at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 7 days.
L. D. "Lazy Dog" grew up in Mississippi and entered the US Army in 1972. He was
stationed in Germany as a Motor Transportation Operator. After his discharge in
1975 he moved to Lafayette, Louisiana and began his career as a truck driver. He
later lived in Dill City and Idabel, Oklahoma. After retiring, L. D. moved to
Breaux Bridge to make his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Theresa Ann Breland and a
brother, Kenneth Ray Breland.
He is survived by his 3 children, L. D. (Beau) Breland, Jr. of Tonkawa, OK,
Jessica Breland of Spaulding, OK, Melissa Granja of Oklahoma City, OK,; 9
beautiful grandchildren, a brother, Herschell Breland, Tin Can Bay, Queensland,
AU; the mother of his children, Linda Breland, Spaulding, OK; many cousins and a
host of other relatives and friends.
