Blanche E. McBroom, daughter of William Herbert and Pearl (Chesier) Worley, was born June 23, 1914 at Lancaster, Texas. She departed this life May 27, 2002 in Noble, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years, 11 months and four days.

Blanche moved to Sentinel when she was 13 years old. She was a 1932 graduate of Sentinel High School. She was a member of the Northeast Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading and sewing. She had previously been a member of the Home Demonstration Club.


Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ben C. McBroom in 1967; three brothers J.B., Olin, and Charlie Worley and one sister, Ella Worley.


She is survived by daughters Mary Sue Sanders and husband Carl of Norman, Oklahoma, Betty Smith and husband Paul of Seminole; granddaughter Paula Taylor and husband Kevin of Seminole; two great-grandsons, Drew and Collin Taylor of Seminole; sister Ruth Pratt of Midland, Texas; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.


Services under the direction of McClure Funeral Home, were Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Northeast Church of Christ in Sentinel with James Cudd officiating.

Interment followed at the Sentinel Cemetery.
