Ladell Cummings, 64, resident of Leedey, OK, was born on January 8, 1949 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Circy and Ivilla (Tucker) Cummings. He passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2013 in Leedey, Oklahoma.

Ladell was born in Ardmore and attended school there. Ladell's family moved to Enid when he was 11 years old. He graduated from Enid High School in 1967. Ladell married Gatyla Smith on December 17, 1977 at the Sentinel Methodist Church in Sentinel, OK. Ladell and Gayla had made their home in Sentinel and Cordell. They later moved to Clinton until recently moving to Leedey. Ladell had worked at Sydco Systems, Inc. As a salesman representative for 10 years. He had previously owned and operated Cummings Auto Sales in Cordell. Ladell was currently employed as a salesman with Rough Riders Oil Field Service in Leedey. Ladell was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping. He also enjoyed watching old western on television. Ladell loved spending time with his family and friends.

Ladell was preceded in death by his parents, Circvy and Ivilla Cummings and one sister-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla Cummings an wife Luci of Mountain Park, OK; 1 sister, Nelda Sue Cummings of Billings, OK; 1 brother, William C. Cummings of Jacksonville, AR, 3 grandchildren , Kevin Johnson and wife Tressa and Harley Delgado and husband Ryan all of Mountain Park, OK and Talessa Bryan and husband Patrick of Humprey, OK; 7 great-grandchildren, Mayley, Presley, Madfison, Haley, Luke, Ariya and Savanna; 1 sister-in-law, Judy Smith of Sentinel, OK and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Sentinel united Methodist Church with Jimmie Musick, officiating.

Interment followed in the Sentinel Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Musick-Varner Funeral Home, Sentinel, OK.
