Dickerson, Claude L., 86, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma.  He was born September 28 1925 in Dill City, Oklahoma to Henry and Lottie (Howard) Dickerson.  He was united in marriage on December 20, 1951 in Oklahoma City to Alvera Gerner. 

Claude served his country in the United States Navy.  He also worked for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation as an engineer for 13 years then started his own heat and air conditioning business in 1955.  He never retired.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and watching western movies. 

Claude is survived by his wife, Alvera Dickerson; daughter, Judy Oliver and husband Chris of Norman; brother, Donald Dickerson and wife Ruby of Sequin, Texas; two sisters, Zoe Craig of Mt. View, OK and Glena Bach and husband Stan of Chico, CA; four grandchildren, Jeremy Love of Plano, TX, Jessica Love of Austin, TX, Ashley Oliver of Norman and Ryland Oliver and wife Kiran of Norman; two great grandchildren, Ryleigh Oliver and Kiegan Oliver; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred Dickerson and Earl Dickerson; and sister, Ina Faye Dickerson.

Visitation will be held 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Services will be held 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Chapel of the Havenbrook Funeral Home with graveside services following at 2:00 pm in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Bessie, Oklahoma.  Arrangements for Claude and his family were placed in the care of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
