Lois grew up and attended school in Cordell, Oklahoma, graduating in 1951. Shortly after graduation she was married to Carl Kennemer at Wheeler, Texas, on June 9, 1951. After their marriage, they lived in Cordell before moving to El Paso while Carl was in boot camp then back to Cordell where Lois raised her family while Carl was in Korea. After his discharge, they moved to the home place where they made their home. Lois' family meant a great deal and they enjoyed tractor pulling, baseball with grandchildren and hard work. Lois also enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers. Her greatest love in life was her Lord and was proud to be an elder's wife and a member of the Burns Flat Church of Christ. Her husband was the love of her life, and the phrase "Grief is the price we pay for love" was dear to her heart after Carl's passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sheets and husband, Calvin, Burns Flat, OK; son, Steve Kennemer and wife, Connie, Dill City, OK; 4 grandchildren, Sarah Ruiz and husband, Chris, Weatherford, OK, Kellin Sheets, Oklahoma City, OK, Katie Kennemer, Oklahoma City, OK, Tyson Sheets, Burns Flat, OK; 1 great granddaughter, Everly Kate Ruiz, Weatherford, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends.
