SuSu Jackson was born to John Sproull and Pauline Hart Murchison in 1912 near Rocky, and passed away Monday, May 6, 2002, at the age of 90.


She attended Rocky School and Southwestern State Teachers College. She was an elementary school teacher and a member of Eastern Star. She was active in Rocky United Methodist Church, Senior Citizens Center, and the Washita County Historical Society.
She married Roger Burn Jackson in 1933, and they made their home in Rocky.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on May 8 at Lonestar Cemetery in Rocky with Rev. Norman Wasson officiating.


She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.


She is survived by her daughter, Paula Jon and husband Paul Goode of Oklahoma City; son, Roger Karl Jackson of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jonna Manchester and Marc Goode; great-grandson, Rob Manchester IV; and other relatives and friends.


Arrangements are under the direction of Jack Loftiss Funeral Home.
