Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend to many went to Heaven Tuesday, June 1, 2004. She will be so missed by all.

She was born March 9, 1918 in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma and attended high school in Cordell, Oklahoma. She married J.C. Shannon in 1935. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She worked for many years at Cordell Christian Home. She always had a loving heart for anyone in need or suffering. Her special talent was caring for others. Many received the soft touch of her gentle hand.

She is survived by a sister, Wanda Moore of Clinton Oklahoma, brothers John Martin of Canton, MI and Paul Martin of Oklahoma; Five children, Jackie Laliberte and husband Kathleen Peters of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania; Stanley Shannon and wife Jill of Middleton, Indiana; and J.C. Shannon of Cordell; eighteen grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Shannon, her parents, two brothers, and two grandchildren.

Viewing and visits with family and friends were at Jack Loftiss Funeral Home on June 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM at 4th and College Church of Christ, Cordell, Oklahoma.

Internment was beside her husband at Lawnview Cemetery, Cordell, Oklahoma. under the direction of Jack Loftiss Funeral Home, Cordell, Oklahoma. Gavin Wilke & Bill Oden officiated the service.
