Obit for Vivian
Funeral services were held for Ione Vivian McCormick,
February 13, 2003 at the Calvary Baptist Church, Cordell, Oklahoma,
officiated by Raymond Payne and Buck Nicholson. Services under the
direction of Jack Loftiss Funeral Home, Cordell, Oklahoma.
Ione was born September 25, 1917 in Hope, Arkansas to
Liller and Robert Mitchell. She went to her eternal reward February 10,
2003. She was 85 years old.
She was united in marriage to Bennie McCormick on July
15, 1937 at Hobart, Oklahoma.
Ione is survived by two daughters, Melba Payne and
husband, Raymond of Bowie, Texas, Cleta Herron and husband, Richard of
Tulsa, Oklahoma; one son, Woodrow “Woody” McCormick and wife, Johanne of
Meno, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
Bennie, son Wesley, grandsons Ricky Stalcup and Bruce McCormick, three
brothers Claude, Coy and Robert, three sisters, Verta Mae, Viola and
Inez.
