Billie Lee Etris, age 72, of Oklahoma City passed away
July 28, 2002.
She was born March 10, 1930 in Rocky to Wilburn Kimmel
and Eula (Powers) Kimmel.
Billie married Chester “Curtis” Etris May 18, 1947 in
Cordell.
She was a member of the Nicoma Park Church of Christ. Billie
enjoyed doing arts and crafts and growing flowers. Her first love was
spending time with her family.
Billie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Curtis;
one son, Michael Etris and wife Cindee of Norman; one daughter, Vickie
Davis and husband Jimmy of Edmond. Also, four grandchildren, Jimmy “Lee”
Davis, II and wife Stacie and Ft. Worth, TX, Carlee Etris of Norman,
Michael Ed Etris of Ft. Riley, KS and Curtis Ryan Etris of Norman; two
great-grandchildren, Trevor Davis and Ethan Childers; three sisters,
Olene Hanks and husband Shorty of Big Sandy, TX, Nelda Jean Boggs and
husband Glen of Haskell and Yvonne Morgan and husband Lloyd of Oklahoma
City; and a host of other family members and friends.
She is preceded in
death by her parents.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July
31, 2002 at South Walker Church of Christ with Bud Brandon and Paul
Sparks officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Lawnview Cemetery
in Cordell, OK at 2:30 p.m. Services are under the direction of the John
M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
