Carrola Walters was born January 20, 1940 in Canute Oklahoma to Tony and Katie (Grossman) Spieker. She passed away in Midwest City, Oklahoma on September 24, 2018 at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and 4 days.
 

Carrola grew up on the family farm north of Canute and attended school at Holy Family graduating in 1958. After graduation she began working at the ASC office and later the Air Force Base in Burns Flat working in the accounting office. She was married to Jody Walters on January 27, 1962 at Holy Family Church. In the late 60's she began working for the United States Post Office where she continued for 35 years until her retirement in 2002. It was during this time that Carrola continued to farm the family farm west of Burns Flat. She was an active member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association and was also a long time member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Cordell, OK. Carrola also enjoyed antiquing, collecting dolls and stamps and spending time with her family and especially her sisters. The family describes Carrola as the original "American Picker" and loved a good bargain when it came around.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Daniel Spieker, sister-in-law, Lauralee Spieker and one nephew, Patrick Haden.

She is survived her children, Anthony Walters and wife, Angela, Clinton, OK and Catherine Boland and husband, Joseph, Derwood, MD; 6 grandchildren, Kelsey, Hannah and Ryan Walters, William, John and Edward Boland; Mary Wheeler and husband, Richard, Elk City, OK, Viola McAdams, Canute, OK, Lyola Steffes and husband, Bobby, Canute, OK, Hugo Spieker, Chanute, KS; sister-in-law, Susan Spieker, Clinton, OK and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
