Bobby spent his young life mostly in Canute. He lived one year in Arizona as a child and lived a short period in Santa Clara, California in his teenage years. He attended and graduated from Holy Family Catholic High School in 1947. Bobby married his longtime classmate Eula Mae Strobel on February 21, 1950 at St. Francis Catholic Church near Canute. He and Eula Mae farmed after getting married until 1957 when he went to work at Dr. Pepper Bottling Company and remained employed there for the next 25 years. In 1982, he became employed with the U.S. Postal Service until retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Mae, of the home; 7 children, Dennis Kilhoffer and wife, Betty, Fairview, Oklahoma, Donald Kilhoffer, Yukon, Oklahoma, Richard Kilhoffer and wife, Debbie, Carter, Oklahoma, Kathy Schones and husband, Douglas, Canute, Oklahoma, Mike Kilhoffer and wife, Cheryl, Canute, Oklahoma, Roberta Kamphaus and husband, Wayne, Canute, Oklahoma, Laurie Garcia and husband, Eddie, Elk City, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Helen Snowder, Canute, Oklahoma and Sharon Joyce and husband, Victor, Elk City, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Mike Kilhoffer and wife, Loretta, Weatherford, OK; a special friend, Carol Metz, and a host of other relatives and friends.
