Bernard Micheal Kilhoffer was born August 24, 1928 on a farm close to Canute, Oklahoma to Louise Catherine and Leo Peter Kilhoffer. He passed away August 20, 2014 at his home in Dill City, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 26 days.

Bernard grew up in Canute, Oklahoma and attended Holy Family Catholic school. After graduation, he helped his father on the family farm. Bernard was married to Donna Jean (Johnson) Kilhoffer at Canute, Oklahoma on March 2, 1954. After their marriage, they settled on a farm South of Canute and continued to farm and raise cattle. They later moved to Dill City where they raised their children. Bernard farmed his entire life, working the land and raising livestock and limousine bulls. He faced many struggles throughout his life including his diagnosis of cancer that he battled for over 19 years, but always looked to the Lord and tried to walk in His ways.

Bernard and Donna celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary recently and he enjoyed their children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hearing his children and grandchildren sing and share their musical talents, being active in the Knights of Columbus, gardening, planting flowers and watching his cotton come up.

He was preceded in death by parents, son, Danny Kilhoffer and a brother, Leo John Kilhoffer.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of the home; 6 children, Valerie Fite and husband, Ned, Burns Flat, OK, Mark Kilhoffer and wife, Kristyn, Dill City, OK, Leann Black and husband, Terry, Dill City, OK, Tim Kilhoffer, Dill City, OK, Mike Kilhoffer and wife, Monica, Edmond, OK, Linda Mell and husband, Brad, Edmond, OK, daughter-in-law, Christine Knowles and husband, Dennis, Dill City, OK; 17 grandchildren, Wesley Fite, Hilarie Houghton, Jessica Giles, Lamar Fite, John Mark Kilhoffer, David Black, Felisha Tate, Court Kilhoffer, Miles Kilhoffer, Carly Kilhoffer, Marshall Kilhoffer, Danielle Soltani, Ashley Kilhoffer, Darla Kilhoffer, Keaton Kilhoffer, Kylee Kilhoffer, and Lindsey Mell, 11 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Vernon "Bill" Kilhoffer, 1 sister, Janice Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends. Service Friday, August 22, 2014
