Daisy Lorraine Harms, daughter of Homer and Juanita (Brittain) Huffman, was born December 12, 1934 in Littleton, Colorado. She departed this life May 9, 2002 at Cordell Christian Home at the age of 67 years, 4 months and 27 days.
Funeral services for Daisy harms were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11 at the Herold Mennonite Church northeast of Cordell with Arlie Johnson officiating. Interment, under the direction of McClure Funeral Home, followed in the Herold Cemetery.
A registered nurse, Daisy graduated from the Halstead, Kansas School of Nursing. She had lived in this area for 44 years, moving from Littleton, Colorado. Daisy enjoyed reading and taking care of patients at Cordell Memorial Hospital where she worked for many years before retiring in 1998 due to failing health. She was a member of the Herold Mennonite Church.
She was united in marriage to L.D. Harms September 20, 1958 and to this union four children were born.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Homer and Juanita Huffman; sister-Phyllis Dawson and a sister in infancy.
Survivors include her husband, L.D. of Cordell; 4 children, Lesley Dale Dean and husband, Paul of Tahlequah, Bernardine (Birdy) Jeannette Granville of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jason Alaric Harms and wife, Teresa of Byron, Oklahoma, Carlin Jay Harms and wife, Michelle of Cordell; sister, Donna Ogden and husband, Earl of Lakewood, Colorado; brother, Home Huffman and wife Margie of Lakewood, Colorado; grandchildren, Jessica Dean, Andrew Cumbie, Erika Cumbie, Seth Harms, Emily Harms, Lauren Harms and Joshua Tilley; other relatives and friends.
