Donald Wayne Carr was born August 2, 1949 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Eunice Pearl
and Edward Carr. He passed away April 16, 2017 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age
of 67 years, 8 months and 14 days.
Donald grew up in Elk City and graduated from Elk City High School in 1967.
After graduation he began his career in the automotive industry as a mechanic.
In 1972 he was married to Louise Margaret Larson in Wheeler, Texas. In the mid
80's Donald helped his father with the farming responsibilities on their family
farm. Donald and Louise made their home in Elk City until her passing in 1999.
Donald began working for John Deere, Compressco and Hydrawalk as a mechanic
until he began his own shop, Carr's Automotive, in 2008. He was later married to
Patricia Ann (Reeves) Carr at Elk City, Oklahoma on September 19, 2009. Donald
and Patricia made their home in Elk City where they retired and he enjoyed
gardening, tinkering with cars and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Louise Margaret Carr.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; 4 children, Michelle Carr,
Dallas, TX, Edward Shane Carr and wife, Christie, Olustee, OK, William Don Carr
and wife, Ravan, Elk City, OK and Robert Joseph Carr and wife, Bendy, Elk City,
OK; 3 step sons, Larry Rapp and wife, Tracey, Denton, TX, Benjamin Rapp and
wife, Teresa, Nashville, TN and SMG Samuel Christopher Rapp, and wife, Nora,
Colorado; 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother and 2 sisters,
Sandra Walls, Ronnie Carr and Cheryl Wright and a host of other relatives and
friends.
