Regina Gail Walker née Gardner was born on February 5, 1962, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Bertha Seals and James "Sonny" Gardner and passed away on February 7, 2024.  


Services are 2:00 PM Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Reaper Baptist Church, Rev. Ricky McGee will officiate.  

Burial will follow at Elm Flat Cemetery.


Growing up in Ada, Oklahoma, as the oldest of five children she helped raise her younger brothers, and met her future husband James Walker at a young age, and grew up close with his siblings and family. On February 17, 1979 they welcomed their only daughter Chavita Gardner, Regina attended Ada High School graduating in 1980, later relocating to Wichita, KS and eventually Oklahoma City, OK. She spent years as a CNA taking pride in taking care of her patients. She cherished her family, at this time taking care of her daughter and helping to raise her grandson "Zay", later extending the same love to her other grandchildren "JJ", "Nari", and Nique'.


She was also a loving friend, family member, cousin, and aunt, being a lot of her nieces and nephews favorite Aunt. She was loved by all, known for being warm and welcoming to anyone regardless of circumstances or familiarity, she was always willing to help someone in need, always selfless and helping others. Showing more of her caring side, later in life returning to her hometown of Ada, she worked with children as a daycare teacher, and as a caretaker for mentally handicapped adults. A devoted daughter, she took care of her mother, Bertha, when her health started to decline, being with her every step of the way, from her initial diagnosis until her passing.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Johnnie Mae Seals; her parents, Sonny Gardner and Bertha Seals; her in-laws, Bobby and Lowanda Walker; a brother, Michael Watson; sister in law, Sandra "Sam" Walker; nephew, Anthony Meely; and nieces, Eshanda Seals, and Iiesha Meely.


She leaves to cherish her memory; four brothers, Antonio "Tony" (Ashley) Jeffers, Ronalda "Nutt" Seals, Kenneth "Ray" (Bessie) Seals, Reggie (Barbara) Seals, all of Ada, OK; one child, Chavita "Vita" Gardner of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, Marzabrien "Zay" Walker, Semaja' "JJ" Morgan, Ja'Narius "Nari" Morgan, and Reginique' "Nique" Morgan, all of Oklahoma City, OK; ex-husband, James Walker; sister in laws, Dorothy Walker-Frazier, Anita Martin,  Karen Walker, and Amy Seals; brother in laws, Bobby Walker Jr., Lamont Walker, and Keith Martin; a special nephew, Antwan Seals; a special niece, Kalisha Jackson; uncle Willie "Pink" (Helen) Seals; and cousin (aunt) Betty Weaver; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
