Dora Roxanna "Roxie" Pruitt was born April 30, 1948 in
Albuquerque, NM to Reverend John and Bettie Sullivan and she died December
10, 2014 at the age of 66 in Elk City.
She graduated from Merritt High School and then attended SWOSU in Sayre and
OSU in Stillwater. She worked at Sonic, Girling Home Health Care, delivered
newspapers for the Elk City Daily News and taught Bible School. She was a
member of The First Baptist Church of Elk City.
Roxie was married to Ronnie Joe Pruitt September 9, 1978.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, two sisters, one brother, one sister-in-law, and her mother and father-in-law.
Survivors include her son, William Ray Pruitt and wife, Linda, of Elk City; two daughters, Treena August Pruitt and wife, Promise, of Elk City and Amanda Lea Wann and husband, Zachary, of Elk City; her sister, Bonnie Duncan and husband, James, of Oklahoma City; brother-in-law, Mack Pruitt, Jr. of Sayre; sister-in-law, Audrey Wilmoth and husband, Richard, of Elk City; sisters-in-law, Vicky Williams and husband, James, of Elk City, Cathy McCamon and husband, Greg, of Elk City, Cindy Pruitt of Elk City and Nancy Pruitt of Elk City; son-in-law, Billy Shatswell; 12 grandchildern, Brandon Pruitt, Phillip Pruitt, Marcus Brewer, Tara Crizer, Caressa Eddy, August Pruitt, Kayleigh Loring, Tyler Wann, Crystal Thompson and Leanne Thompson; four great grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews, friends, other family members and loved ones.
