Bobby Clay Chronister, 87 passed away June 5, 2018 at Cordell Christian home after a hard battle with cancer. He was born in Claremore, OK on March 4, 1931 to M.L. and Perna (Fry) Chronister.
 

Bobby had 8 siblings and was especially close to his brother Ray. He dropped out of school when his dad got hurt and helped the family. He married young and began working at the local grocery store. He buried his first born son and with the help of his mother and sister, Betty, he raised his other 3 kids on his own. In January 1980 he moved to Canute, OK and began managing the E-Z Stop convenience store where he worked until he fell sick in October 2017. Bobby was a beloved father, granddad, brother & uncle and friend. He was a people person and had a heart of gold. Bobby enjoyed visiting with customers, would help anyone and was known for his humor. He was a hard worker and put many hours in at the store and also enjoyed raising cattle. He loved his family, the farm life, ice cream, Copenhagen and cherry pie.
 

He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers Ray Chronister and Linston Chronister and a sister Audra Roe.  3 children, Benny Ray Chronister, Michael Rueben Chronister and Barbara Ellen Wilson and 1 grandson-in-law Brian Beck. 
 

He is survived by one son Doug Chronister and wife Judy of Canute, Ok. 6 grandkids, Renee and Justin Johnson of Foss, OK, Dona Asebedo and Ron Stamm of Foss, OK, Doug And Mary Chronister of Canute, OK, Shannon and Glen Scott of Wheeler, TX, Stephanie Asebedo, Robert and Amy Wilson of Foss, OK. 15 great grandkids, Layton, Rylee, and Ava Johnson, Jaide Burns, Rashelle Lavietski, Douglas and Cody Chronister, Melinda and Kamie Beck, Damian and Cameron Dyer, Taylor and Kristen Wilson, Garret Fleck, and Dana Stewart. 2 great-great grandkids Trey and Anna Chronister. Sister Betty Newby, Brothers  Faye Chronister, Buford and Shirley Chronister, Jeannie Chronister, Eldred and Mary Chronister, Jerry and Coline Perry and long time friends Louisa and Randy Carlisle Canute, OK, Irene and Craig Howard Elk City, OK and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
