Ima Jean was born to her parents Allen and Velma Lou (Tyler) Wooten on June 26, 1929 in Tyler, Texas. Ima Jean has resided in Canute, Oklahoma for the past 50 years. She enjoyed water sports, playing games, completing puzzles and reading books. In her younger years Ima Jean was very involved in high school sports. She was on the school basketball and softball teams. Ima Jean was a true athlete in her day.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and 1 sister, Lucille Pool.
Ima Jean is survived by her 2 daughters, Lynda James of Blair, OK, and Carolyn Snowder of Canute, OK, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of long time friends and neighbors.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Canute Cemetery with Pastor Greg Newton officiating under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
