She was educated in Bartlesville
schools. Mildred was married October 17, 1947 in
Bartlesville to Freddie Edward (Joe) Tayrien of
Okesa, Oklahoma. They were co-owners of Tayrien
Plumbing until their retirement in 1979. Mildred
enjoyed gardening, collecting and family
history.
Mildred is survived by her son Freddie Joe
Tayrien of Okesa, Oklahoma and daughter Linda
Kaye Tayrien of Coffeyville, Kansas. Five
grandchildren; Jennifer Hart, Carrie Tayrien,
Dwayne Tayrien, Tina Tayrien, and Danielle
Tayrien, also 15 great grandchildren and 6
great-great grandchildren. Mildred is also
survived by one sister, Evelyn Revard of Dewey,
Oklahoma, five brothers; Jake, Jerry, Jim, Jesse
and Michael Sumner.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Joe
Tayrien, her parents Jake (Newt) and Ethel
Sumner, two sisters; Dot Baker and Shirley Swan,
two brothers; Bill and Richard Ray Sumner. Also
two infants Cindy Lou and Thomas Cyprian Tayrien.
Mildred's family will celebrate her life with a
private family service. Cremation services are
under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and
Crematory.
