Frances Cleo Remington, 95, passed away on April 30, 2020.

Frances was born on February 28, 1925, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Margaret Adams. She attended High School in Bell Gardens, California. After high school working in factories during wartime, she was a genuine “Rosie the Riveter.” She married James Standrod, and they had one child together and later divorced.
In 1951 she met the love of her life, Charles Remington, they married in June of 1952 moving to Bartlesville, OK. Adding to their small family she gave birth to two sons, David and Roger. They moved back to California and gave birth to her daughter, Charel to complete their family. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1964. She went to work at Montgomery Words and later Reda Pump/ TRW. Frances served as PTA president at Lincoln Elementary, Cub Scout Leader, taught vacation bible school, was a Sunday school teacher, Girls Auxiliary Leader, among many other activities at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and supporting her children in many sports, activities, and Booster Clubs. Frances, her sisters, and their husbands were actively involved in the CB Club and Bowling Leagues.
As grandchildren entered her life, she found much joy going to their sporting events and activities. Her church family was an important part of her life. Even as her sight left her, she found much joy putting bibles together for missionaries. Frances always wondered when she got to heaven how many souls were touched by the bibles she put together. She was a woman with a heart of gold, and she without a doubt has touched many souls throughout her life.
