Margaret "Jane" LaMar, age 95 and Pawhuska, Oklahoma resident, passed away in the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, on April 3, 2018.

Jane was the daughter of Frank Lewis and Zenith (McCarty) Lewis. She was born on December 23, 1922 in Bartlesville. She grew up in rural Osage County. She lived on the Rocking Clear Ranch and Woolaroc Ranch. She attended elementary school at Buck Creek, Pawhuska and she was a graduate of Pawhuska, Oklahoma High School. She furthered her education by attending Bartlesville Business College.

Jane joined Phillips Petroleum Company soon after receiving her high school diploma. On October 2, 1941, she and Wayne Leon LaMar were united in marriage. The couple made their home 3 miles north of Osage Hills State Park. Jane worked for Phillips for 36+ years. At retirement, she was an Import/Export Analyst, retiring in 1983.

Mr. LaMar preceded her in death on April 22, 2006.

Jane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pawhuska; member of Jane Phillips Society; and loved fishing, traveling (R.V.) and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Hollister and her husband, Pete, of rural Pawhuska; one grandchild, Darin Hollister and his wife, Tamie, of Pawhuska; 2 great-grandchildren, Ryan Hollister and Trent Hollister; 6 great-great grandchildren; and other family and friends.

Private family graveside services were held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the White Rose Cemetery, Bartlesville. Rev. Sherman Jacquess, pastor of the Matoaka Baptist Church, was the officiant.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
