Sandra Lee Jones, 60, of Bartlesville, died Thursday in Dewey.

Sandi as she was known was born the daughter of Harold Blaine and Maryellen Louise (Dillman) Howe on Jan. 14, 1958 in Independence, KS. She was raised in Independence graduating high school in 1976. Sandi furthered her education at Independence Junior College before taking a break to raise her two boys. She moved to Bartlesville in 1980. In 1993 she was able to continue her education earning an associate’s degree in accounting from Rogers State, then her bachelor’s in 2007 and accomplishing her master’s in 2013. During this time she was set up on a blind date and soon realized she met the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. On June 27, 1994, Sandi was united in marriage with Gary Jones in Miami, OK. They made their home in Bartlesville and had 23 precious years together.

Sandi loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and motorcycles. She shared Gary’s love of classic cars and together they travelled around in their ‘67 Chevy Chevelle to car shows and were members of the Oldies ‘n Goodies Car Club. Her passions included music, reading, keeping up with friends on Facebook, and most of all the Kansas City Chiefs. She enjoyed traveling and was looking forward to taking another cruise in the future. Sandi enjoyed life and spending time with those she loved.

Sandi is survived by her loving husband of the home Gary; two sons, Justin Lee Stevens and Jessica of Tulsa, and Jeremy David Stevens and fiancé Eva Frank of Annville, PA; two brothers Mike Howe and Kathy of Bartlesville, and Pat Howe and Anita of Independence; one sister Sharon Young and Charles of Longview, TX; lifelong best friend Pam McHugh of Independence and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday 12-6 pm at the Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75).

A rosary will be said on Sunday at 6 pm, in the Davis Family Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Joe Richard will lead the rosary.

Funeral mass will be held 10 am Monday at St. John Before The Latin Gate Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father John O’Neill as the celebrant.

Interment will follow at the White Rose Cemetery in Bartlesville.

Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.
