Robert "Bobby" Eugene Adair, 83, of Bartlesville, OK passed away Thursday, October 4th, 2018.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Miracle Temple at Bartlesville with Minister Ray Dixon officiating.

Interment will occur at the White Rose Cemetery, under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.

Mr. Adair was born on May 20, 1935 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Roosevelt and Clara (Turner) Adair. He graduated in 1953 from Douglass School. Mr. Adair then joined the  Army during the Korean Conflict to serve and defend his country. Mr. Adair found gainful employment as a pipeline gauger with ARCO (Atlantic Richfield Company) for 25 years. He was active in the  civil rights movement during the mid-60's in association with the A. Phillip Randolph Society. He was instrumental in the 1976 formation of DouglassAires; a celebration of community, which continues to occur every third year. Bobby enjoyed spending time outdoors. One of his favorite past-times was working in his huge garden, and sharing the proceeds with neighbors, family and friends. Bobby enjoyed playing golf, fishing, hunting, as well as watching and playing sports with his children. Bobby cherished spending time with family. Bobby was a loving father, husband and friend. On December 4, 2008, Mr. Adair married his present wife, Ms. Cherita L. Shoate, of the home.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Robert (Cherita) Adair; Son, Mr. Clinton Eugene Adair and wife, Ashton of Oklahoma City; Ms. Carol Wilson of Wichita, KS; Ms. Selma Faye Adair of Tulsa, OK; and Ms. Christy Adair of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Stepchildren: Darrell K. Grayson; Briana and Courtlyn Shoate; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Siblings: Mr. Everett Adair and wife Susie, Bartlesville, OK; Ms. Rosine Ratliff, Bartlesville; Ms. Ruth Nash, Bartlesville; Mrs. Maude White and husband Roscoe, Bartlesville.

Mr. Adair was preceded in death by his daughter, Ms. Jacqueline Claiborne. Brothers: Clinton, Theodore, Donald and Eddie; and sister, Ida Mae Taylor.
