Robert Ellison Wahlgren, 92 years of age passed away
August 17, 2016 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Robert
was born February 12, 1924 to Ada and Frank Wahlgren
in Oklahoma City.
Robert served in
World War II in the Air Force. After the war he
returned to OU where he graduated in 1949. Robert
married Mary Frances Badgley in 1947. They were
married 69 years.
Robert loved all sports and was an avid tennis
player. He and Roy Harrison started the Bartlesville
Tennis Association. Robert worked for Phillips from
1954 until 1985 when he retired. Robert was an
active member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church
in Bartlesville.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday
August 22, at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church.
Inurnment will be in the Church Columbarium.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of
the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Robert is survived by his wife Mary, 4 children
Gary, Lee, Scott and Kay; 4 grandchildren, Merry,
Jamie, Jake and Jeff; 8 great-grandchildren; one
sister Margaret Short of Oklahoma City and 3 nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A. M., Monday,
August 22, 2016, at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian.
A memorial in Robert's name has been established at
Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church 801 SE Washington
Blvd. Bartlesville, OK 74006.
