On May 23, 2021, at the young age of 88, Billy Owen Pearson went to meet his Lord and Momma at the gates of Heaven.

Billy was a native Oklahoman, born to Carlos Melvin and Lottie Marie Pearson on June 29, 1932 in Oglesby, Oklahoma. He attended school in Oglesby and Ramona. Billy married Ruth Mae Branson (Momma) on May 5, 1949. They had four children; Billie Mae, Melvin Thomas, Deborah Nadine and Sandra Marie. Early in their marriage, they lived in Oklahoma, Colorado, Idaho, and Texas where he followed a career as an automobile mechanic and laborer, In the 1980’s they relocated to Oologah, Oklahoma where Billy owned and operated, along with his son, a rural trash service and an auto repair service garage. They later relocated to Ramona, Oklahoma where he worked for Washington County as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver and ran a garage where he did auto repair and welding. Billy and Ruth were long-time members of the Paradise Gate Full Gospel Church of Bartlesville until it was forced to close during the COVID-19 pandemic. Billy and Ruth moved to the rural Grove area in 2008 to be near to daughter Sandra, when Ruth’s health began to fail.

Billy is survived by his daughter Billie M Bear and her husband Jerry D Duis of Skiatook, son Melvin T Pearson of Skiatook and daughter Sandra M Thomas of Grove, 8 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, by brothers Pat and wife Faye Pearson 0f Barnsdall, Robert and his wife Georgene Pearson of Oologah, Georgie and his wife of Bartlesville, sister Charlotte O’Neal of Dewey.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Ruth M. Pearson, daughter Deborah Nadine Creek, parents Carlos M and Lottie M Pearson, brothers Edgar Pearson, Bart and his wife Ethel Pearson, and sister Loraine Widowsky of Dewey.

Memorial Services will be held in the Chapel of the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Interment will be at the Ramona Cemetery following the Memorial Services.
