Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Happy Hill Church with Jack Richey officiating. Final committal rites will be in the Ramona Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.
Richard was born March 19, 1937 in Mississippi to Billy Howell and Gladys Lucille Grice Cook. He was very active in refurbishing the American Legion Building in Ramona and active in his community and with Happy Hill Church.
Richard is survived by his wife Stella of the home, 4 sons, Richard “Rick” Jr. and his wife Shelby Cook of Hillsboro, TX., Kerry and his wife Paola Davis of San Jose, CA., Scott Leroy Davis of Ramona, OK, and Aaron Braden Cook of Ramona, OK, 2 daughters, Kelly and her husband Mike Davidson of Oklahoma City, and Sherri Lynn Davis of Ramona, OK, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Nellie Ruth Key, and 1 brother, J. W. Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Howell and Gladys Lucille Cook.
