On Friday January 20, 2023, Laura "Jane" Willcox, 82 passed away peacefully at Bailey Hospital in Owasso, OK. She was born in Ochelata, OK on August 6, 1940, to Floyd A. Evans and Margie J. Evans (Webb).

She went by "Jane" and was known to all for her infectious laugh and sweet smile. She grew up in the Ochelata School system and graduated high school in 1958. While in school she was an athlete receiving many awards playing basketball, softball and volleyball. She was married to her high school sweetheart Keith J Willcox of Ramona, OK on May 22, 1958. Jane was a lifetime resident of the Ochelata Ramona area and a member of the Ochelata First Baptist Church. While at Church, she enjoyed helping with the Summer Vacation Bible School and the Ladies Tuesday sewing group to make the prayer blankets.

She received her post high school training at the Bartlesville Secretarial School and worked until retirement from her position as Supervisor of Benefits at Reda Pump Co. in Bartlesville, OK. After retirement, she was employed at various locations in the Ochelata area. She especially enjoyed working at the Washington County voting site in Ochelata where she was able to visit with all those that came in to vote. Jane loved bowling, she was a skilled bowler and received many trophies. She also enjoyed softball and fishing with her best girlfriends. She enjoyed camping at the local lakes with her family in her camper. She enjoyed crocheting blankets for all the new babies, family members and friends. Jane could be found attending and cheering on the kids at most all the high school sporting events. Jane had a big heart and compassion for animals and their companionship. This was obvious as there were many throughout the years. Her precious little Winnie accompanied her for the past few years, as she loved that little special-needs dog more than can be measured.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd A. Evans and Margie J. Evans (Webb); 3 brothers Bud C Evans, Gary L Evans, ad Michael W Evans.

She leaves behind survivors: husband-Keith Willcox; daughter-Keitha Willcox; son-Mr. &Mrs. Chris Willcox; brother, Joe Evans; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren

Her memorial services will be Friday January 27, 2023, 11am at the First Baptist Church in Ochelata, OK and intermit will be at the Ramona Cemetery following. A viewing is scheduled as come and go for friends on Thursday January 26, 2023, at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, OK. Family will be present from 5pm to 7pm for visitation time.
