Funeral services for Dorothy Louise (Arnold) Clayton, 79, of Ramona, OK, were held Thursday, September 4, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Ramona, OK. Reverend Dan Korver officiated, and burial was in Ramona Cemetery in Ramona, OK. Casket bearers were Brian Calvert, Dempsey Calvert, Aaron Calvert, Jamison Even, Bill Crenshaw, Justin Tucker, Hunter Clayton, and Daniel Even. Honorary Casket bearers were Brian Clayton.

Dorothy was born July 26, 1946, in Charlotte, NC, to Claude Perry Arnold and Jewell (Somers) Arnold. She passed away August 31, 2025, in Ramona, OK.

Dorothy was a member of the American Legion Post 430 and their Women's Auxiliary in Ochelata. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed working on various crafting projects, knitting, collecting mugs from all of her travels, and playing all kinds of games with her grandchildren. She loved taking care of her home and her children and even became a foster grandparent to many young children over the years.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Clayton; children, Claudine Calvert and husband, Brian, Brian Clayton, Jaime Mertens and husband, Dennis, and Danielle Crenshaw and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Aaron and Danielle Calvert, Emily and Bri Calvert-Western, Dempsey Calvert, Sophia Calvert, Anna Calvert, Hunter and Haley Clayton, Bailey and Carson Logan, Sumer and Aaron Adams; Cassidy Mertens, Brittany and Justin Tucker, Ashly and Jamison Even, and Cailey Crenshaw and partner Nick Bounyasarn; great-grandchildren, Regan Calvert, Landen Calvert, Archer Calvert, Nona Mertens, Daniel Even, Sawyer Even, and Axel Tucker; sisters, Donna Arnold, and Wendy Booker; brother, Gary Arnold; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Jewell Arnold; aunts, Rosalee Arnold and Lena Seagall, and nieces, Andrea Meachum and Jessica Staley.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
