Naomi spent her time, after all the rest of her
brothers and sisters were married, taking care of her parents. Naomi and
Leon Owens started dating when she was shopping for groceries at the IGA
store in Bartlesville. They were married on April 24th, 1964. Leon and
Naomi moved to the Glenoak community where Naomi took care of her mother
for 2 ½ years until her mother’s death. Naomi started babysitting out of
her home and did so for over 30 years. She had a lot of love for all the
kids that she took care of.
Naomi is survived by her two children, Laurie Bennett and her husband
Alvin of Nowata, Phillip Owens and his wife Alana of Nowata; seven
grandchildren, Eden Wilder, Cody Owens and Tarin Dickson, Justin Wilder,
Allie Frost, Zoe Curry and her husband Isaiah; three great grandsons,
Abel Johnson, Isaiah Johnson and Ryder Owens; one sister Julia Murray,
three sisters in laws, Evelyn Billbe, Della Deen and Dortha Hudson and
many nieces and nephews.
Naomi loved the Lord, her family and cooking and baking and reading her
Bible.
