Marvin Eugene Weaver
November 21, 1943 - September 19, 2023

Marvin Eugene Weaver, 79, passed away on September 19, 2023, at his home in Copan.

Marvin was born November 23, 1943, in Nowata, OK, to Henry and Clara Alice (Baker) Weaver. He graduated from Bartlesville College-High School in 1961 and attended some college classes before deciding on machining as his lifelong career of choice. He spent a couple of years serving his country in the Army Reserves in the 1970s.

Marvin learned machining from his father and worked with Henry for many years. Marvin ended his career as a machinist in June of 2022, after working at Spears Manufacturing for more than 22 years as a tool and die guy. He was truly a jack of all trades.

Marvin's hobbies included coon hunting, calf roping, and watching the University of Oklahoma Sooners football. Go Sooners! Marvin enjoyed his coon dogs that he raised and trained. A couple of his favorites were named Granny and Rambo.

In his youth, he enjoyed driving fast in his GTO. Come to think of it, he enjoyed driving his truck fast, too. Marvin was a jokester and had fun pulling pranks. In his later years, Marvin loved his rural Copan home, which was built by his son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. Survivors include his three children, Janessa Dowers and husband Steve, Danny Weaver, and Bryan Weaver and wife Margie; a brother, Bobby Weaver; 10 grandchildren, Jessica Brown, TJ Brown, Dakota Dowers, Colton Dowers, Cally Nix, Wyatt Weaver, Doc Weaver, Caleb Weaver Alison, Braycen Weaver, and Bradley Weaver; and 5 great-grandchildren. Marvin was preceded in death by three siblings, Clara Mae Roche, James Weaver, and Kari Lee Weaver.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023, at Oglesby Cemetery with pastor Josh Easton officiating. Services and interment are under the direction of Carter Davis and Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel, 113 S. Osage Ave., Dewey, OK 74029. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
