Shirley Ann Hawkins
August 31, 1944 - December 13, 2025

Shirley Ann Hawkins, age 81, passed away on December 13, 2025. She was born on August 31, 1944, in Shiloh, Alabama, to Howard Heaton and Balma Townsend Heaton. Shirley grew up in Shiloh and graduated from Fyffe High School with the class of 1962.

On December 24, 1963, Shirley married Jimmie Hawkins, and they later moved to Oglesby, Oklahoma. An avid gardener, Shirley loved all kinds of flowers and spent every fall working diligently in the pecan grove alongside Jimmie. She was a devoted stay-at-home mom, often serving as a homeroom mother and tirelessly chauffeuring many kids to softball games, football games, band practices, and piano lessons. As her children grew, Shirley began a fulfilling career as a preschool teacher at Swan Lake Daycare in Bartlesville, where she had the joy of teaching not only other children but also her beloved grandchildren. Known as "Meme," Shirley dedicated herself to her grandchildren, taking them on various activities and spending quality time with them. In her later years, she became a great-grandmother and cherished every moment with her great-grandchildren.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jimmie Hawkins; her daughters, Pamela Parks, and Nina Brown and husband Michael; and her grandchildren Ashley Parks, Jennifer Osborne and husband Tony, Craig Farris and wife Amy, Chelsey Wilbert and wife Ali, Kalob Combs and wife Keri, Wyatt Brown and fiancee Jazlyn, and Sarah Brown. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Madyson Buford, Zane Griggs, Lathe Griggs, Trinity Osborne, Harper Osborne, Alex Farris, Bentley Combs, Rory Combs, Knollyn Combs, Camile Combs, Ruger Combs, and Honey Grace Combs. Shirley is further survived by her brother-in-law Rodney Phillips, niece Crystal Nail and husband Nathan, nephew Adam Phillips and wife Amy, and many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Balma Heaton, and her sister, Sheila Phillips. Shirley will be remembered for her loving spirit, dedication to her family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. She made a lasting impact on the lives of her children and grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
