Jackie Sue Sires, 76, of Ochelata, died at 6:07 A.M. on Wednesday,
February 15, 2017 at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey.
Visitation for friends and family will be at the Stumpff Funeral Home
until 8 P.M. on Thursday, February 16th.
Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, February 17, 2017
at the Ochelata Cemetery with Rev. Theodore Hoffman of the Ochelata
United Methodist Church officiating and directed by the Stumpff Funeral
Home & Crematory.
Mrs. Sires was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on June 8, 1940 the
daughter of Paul and Agnes Christine (Blalack) Barnett. She grew up and
received her education in Bartlesville and graduated from College High
School in 1959. She was married to Billy Joe Sires at Miami, Oklahoma on
February 20, 1960. They made their home all of their married life at
Ochelata. She was employed with Cities Service Oil Company in Tulsa and
then with TRW Reda Pump for nine years. She began her employment with
Applied Automation in Bartlesville in 1986 and then with Phillips
Petroleum Company in 1989. She was employed in the Phillips medical
department until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of the
Ochelata United Methodist Church, the Jane Phillips Sorority and met
regularly with her classmates of her 1959 graduating class. With her
husband, she was a member of the Osage Hills Wolf Hunter’s Association
in which she served as secretary for several years.
Mrs. Sires is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Sires of the home, two
daughters, Tammy Jo Peck and husband Lawrence W. of Bartlesville and
Cassie Sires and partner Bobby Barger of Dewey, one sister, Betty Smith
of Bartlesville, four grandchildren, Lawrence (Andy) Peck, Kathlyn
(Katie) Askins and her husband William Askins, Olivia Jacqueline Inman
and Jaren Sires-Godinez, and three great grandchildren, Isabella
McKenzie Sharp, Abigail Rose Askins and Madeline Grace Askins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
