Elaine Lucille Sims, 71, of Bixby and formerly of Bartlesville, died at 5:52 A.M. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Elaine Burke Sims was born on September 10, 1949 at Memorial Hospital in Bartlesville., Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Rhodes W. and Gertrude Burke. She attended Jefferson Elementary School, Central Junior High and graduated with the College High School class of 1967. Elaine worked for Reda Pump in Bartlesville for twenty years. She also worked for Primary Care Associates. The last eighteen years she lived in Bixby, Okla., and worked for Ascension St. John’s as a phlebotomist. She was the Phlebotomy Coordinator for the last twelve years until her retirement on December 31, 2017.

Elaine is survived by one son, Brian Keith Sims of Bartlesville, two grandsons, Sgt Kyle Keith Sims of Ft. Riley, Kansas and Kody Sims of Bartlesville. She is survived by one sister, Nancy and her husband, Thomas Shull of Bixby, OK., two nephews, David Estes of Bartlesville and Paul Shull of Tulsa, three nieces, Dana Whalen of Wagoner, Ok., Erin Collebrusco of Broken Arrow, Ok., and Lisa Brooks of Bixby. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Family graveside services will be held at the Ochelata Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Stumpff Funeral Home on 9 AM until 8 PM on Thursday and Friday and from 9 AM until 5 PM on Saturday.

The Sims family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday April 3, 2021 from 2 PM until 4 PM.
