DAVIS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Frances P. Foster passed away Tuesday at Medicalodges in Dewey. Frances was aged 83 and had lived most of her life in Ochelata, OK, not far from where she grew up.

Frances Pauline Foster was born on Dec. 18, 1934, in Collinsville, OK, the daughter of Lawrence Henry Hagenhoff and Mary Pauline (Whisenhunt) Hagenhoff. She was raised and educated in Bartlesville, graduating from College High in 1952. She remembered fondly her growing up years working in the large garden that provided vegetables for her family. While working at the creamery in Bartlesville she met a nice young man “Warren” working at the ice plant nearby. Frances and Warren F. Foster, Jr. were married Aug. 1, 1953, in Nowata, OK. They established their first home in the Ochelata area and enjoyed 65 years of loving marriage. Later in life Frances took up bookkeeping and tax preparation out of her home office and enjoyed helping her many clients over the years. Frances was a longtime member of Ochelata United Methodist Church. She was compassionate and an easygoing lady who gave the best hugs. Frances was dedicated to providing a good home for her husband and children. She was famous for her pan-fried chicken - a lost art in these healthier times. Frances made special time for her grandchildren and they loved her dearly. Time spent on the ranch with her family brought her much joy.

She is survived by her husband Warren Foster; daughter Ann Packard of Ochelata; son Chris Foster and wife Anne of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Lance, Lindsey, Katie, and Christina; two great grandchildren Destiny and Rian; sisters, Clara Naeher of Spring, Texas, Cecelia Vitt of Bartlesville, Joan McKinney and Gary of Bartlesville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Robert "Bob" Hagenhoff, and two sisters Mary Walker and Teresa Trowbridge.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12-8 and Friday 9-12 at Davis Family Funeral Home, 918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey, OK.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ochelata Volunteer Fire Dept., PO Box 118, Ochelata, OK 74051.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at the Ochelata Cemetery, with Rev Ted Hoffman officiating. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home.

Online condolences and remembrances may be shared with Frances’s family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
