Reta was born on February 11, 1936 in rural Spavinaw, OK the daughter of Walter Charles Duncan and Ruby Dott (Alexander) Duncan and attended School in Strang Oklahoma. She married Albert Melvin Sanders on July 9, 1952 at Pryor, Oklahoma. They made their home in rural Salina OK after returning from Fort Eustis, Virginia, where her husband was stationed in the Army. Together they had 8 children and Reta was a stay at home mom until 1968 while living in Ochelata, Oklahoma. Her first job was at Murphy’s Steakhouse in Bartlesville Oklahoma. They moved to Lanagan MO in 1972 and returned to Ochelata OK in 1975 where she worked for Brook’s Steakhouse. Albert passed away in February 2000 at Afton Oklahoma. Reta was a member of various Baptist churches by raised her kids at Matoka Baptist Church in Ochelata.
Reta married Frank R. Fields from Bartlesville in 2003 and they lived at Grand Lake until moving back to Bartlesville in 2007. Frank worked and retired at Phillips Petroleum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Albert Sanders, sons Gerald Ray Sanders, Virgil Melvin Sanders, Grandson Craig Joseph Cassick, Son-in-law Jim Gilstrap, Brothers-Bobby James Duncan and Marion Eugene Duncan, Sister Wanda Louise Eaton in January 2021, Brother-in-law Homer Eaton,, Husband Frank Fields.

leaves 6 children Susan Mattix of Bartlesville, OK, Steve Sanders of
Nowata OK, Donna Gilstrap of Coffeyville, KS, Joyce Tarter and husband
Steve of Fort Worth, TX, Albert Sanders of Rogers, AR and Peggy Morgan
of AR. She leaves 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great,
great grandchild.
