David Lee Freeman
July 25, 1944 - May 27, 2026

David Lee Freeman 81 years old passed away on May 27, 2026 surrounded by his wife, his children and loved ones.

He was born on July 25, 1944 to Kenneth and Genevieve Freeman of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

At the age of 13 years old, He worked at Cox grocery on 14th St. in Bartlesville. He graduated from College High in 1962.

After graduation David severed in the US Army reserves as a radio operator.

After the Army reserves, David work for Harry Anderson Builders Insulation and Cox grocery. In 1965, he started working for National Zinc Corp. where he retired after 40 years.

David was known as a Good Man who always provided for his family and upheld strong work ethics.

David married the love of his life Shirley McKellop of Collinsville, Oklahoma, on March 8, 1965. They celebrated 61 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife Shirley and their three children. Sons, James Freeman, Sr. and wife Jeana of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Jeffery Freeman and Judy Flowers of Skiatook, Oklahoma. Daughter Joy Armbrister and husband Alex of Chouteau, Oklahoma.

His sister Carol Croffut and husband Riley of Ramona, Oklahoma, brother Danny Freeman and wife Phyllis of Okesa, Oklahoma and sister, Connie Witte and husband Kevin of Ochelata, Oklahoma. Eleven grandchildren and Sixteen Great-Grandchildren.

David was proceeded in death by his parents, brother Donald and two nephews, Joe and Sam.
