Cora was born October 31, 1927 in Hastings, Oklahoma, to parents Curtis Lee and Sara Jane (Ellis) Dale. She attended school in Verdigris, Oklahoma and lived in Catoosa during WWII. She worked for Douglas Aircraft as a riveter. Her dad altered her birth certificate so that she could work.
She married Ross Cook on August 24, 1946 in Independence, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1998.
The couple made their home in Ocheleta, where they raised their children. Cora loved her church family and enjoyed her trips to Falls Creek, as a cook. In 2014, she had been a member of the Ochelata Baptist Church for 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Tommy Cook and wife Patty of Bartlesville; Donna Eden and husband Bill of Ramona, Judy Evans of Ochelata, Debra Jackson of Bartlesville and Barbara Peale of Moore; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9am to 8pm, Thursday, April 23 at Stumpff Funeral Home.
Private graveside services will be Friday, April 24 at the Ochelata Cemetery.
The service will be live streamed on Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory’s Facebook page for those who would like to watch.
