Jennifer Ballew passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Spirit Church with Pastor Darryl Wootton officiating. Interment will be in the Ochelata Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Jennifer Cheriece Ballew was born February 8, 1969 in Long Beach, CA to John and Frances (Spradling) Bylsma. She married Christopher Ballew on August 25, 1995 in Boise, ID.
Jennifer was a member of Spirit Church. She felt that her calling in life was to be a teacher. After receiving her B.S. Degree in Education from OWU, she achieved her goal by being a math teacher at Caney Valley Public School in Ramona where she was also the high school Cheerleading coach. Jennifer was a devoted wife, mother and daughter.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Chris, son, Christian and daughter, Philicia of Bartlesville along with her mother, Frances Spradling of Ochelata, father, John Bylsma of Topeka, KS and sister, Debbie Gailey of Ochelata. Brothers: David Spradling of South Carolina, Chuck Bylsma of Ochelata, Jonathan Bylsma of Wisconsin, Christopher Bylsma of Albuquerque, NM, Nicholas, Garrett and Benjamin Bylsma of Topeka, KS and sisters; Janeka, Anna Lee and Eden Bylsma of Topeka, KS, numerous nieces, nephews, beloved relatives and many friends.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Bylsma and sister, Philicia Bylsma.
